Terms and Conditions

By booking a place on one of our photography workshops or tours, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read this document carefully before making your booking.

1. Booking & Payment

  • A non-refundable deposit (amount specified per tour) is required at the time of booking to secure your place.

  • The balance of the tour fee is due no later than 90 days prior to the start date. If full payment is not received by this date, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled.

  • In 4 equal instalments, with the final payment due no later than 90 days prior to the start date. Payment dates will be outlined in your booking confirmation.

  • Payments are to be made in Australian dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

If you cancel your booking:

  • More than 90 days before the tour start date: You will forfeit your deposit. Any balance paid will be refunded.

  • 60-90 days before the tour: 50% of the total tour fee will be refunded (excluding the deposit).

  • Less than 60 days before the tour: No refund will be provided.

If you can find a suitable replacement for your spot, we may (at our discretion) allow a transfer, minus any administrative costs or unrecoverable expenses.

If we cancel the tour due to unforeseen circumstances (including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, insufficient enrolment, or government restrictions), you will receive a full refund of all monies paid, or you may choose to transfer your booking to a future workshop. We are not responsible for any incidental costs (e.g. flights, accommodation booked independently).

3. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory. You must provide proof of insurance covering:

  • Trip cancellation and curtailment

  • Medical expenses and evacuation

  • Loss or damage to personal equipment

We strongly recommend purchasing insurance at the time of booking to cover any unexpected changes.

4. Liability & Assumption of Risk

While we take all reasonable care, participation in a photography tour involves certain risks, including but not limited to accidents, wildlife encounters, adverse weather, and travel delays.

By joining a tour, you agree to:

  • Assume all risks associated with the tour

  • Release Trent Blomfield, his staff, agents, and affiliates from liability for any injury, loss, damage, or expense incurred

  • Follow safety instructions and local regulations at all times

5. Fitness & Responsibilities

You must ensure you are physically capable of participating in the activities described. Some tours may involve walking on uneven terrain, early starts, or exposure to variable weather conditions.

Participants are responsible for:

  • Their own personal belongings and photographic equipment

  • Acting respectfully towards guides, other participants, and local communities

6. Itinerary & Changes

We aim to follow the advertised itinerary; however, we reserve the right to alter schedules, locations, or activities due to weather, local conditions, or other factors beyond our control. No refunds are provided for itinerary changes that do not significantly affect the overall tour experience.

7. Use of Images

By participating, you grant us permission to use any photos taken of you during the workshop for promotional purposes, unless you notify us otherwise in writing before the tour begins.

8. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.

9. Agreement

By booking and paying your deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
