My first day in the Faroes and I shot this little viewpoint for sunset. Norðadalsskar Viewpoint.
Afternoon Delight. Mykines, Faroe Islands.
Fossa (2024). A failed sunrise attempt led me to explore some scenes that would be more ideal for low cloud. So I ended up next to the Faroes biggest waterfall.
Dranganir (2024). I set out to go visit the famous waterfall into the sea on the Faroes. I ended up sopping here as that light hit the islands.
Kirkjufell (2024). An oddly calm scene in Iceland.
A Great Paine (2024) Torres del Paine National Park, Chile. Leading a workshop through Chile, the hike out here is always on the cards. I thought we'd be skunked by the always present low cloud behind the massif. But, boy was I wrong in a good way.
Frozen Spires. One chilly morning at Laguna Torre, Argentina.
Los Cuernos. Torres del Paine, National Park.
Norse Gods. (2023). Skagsanden, Norway.
Haukland I (2023). A last sunset in Norway for the 2023 trip. AndI lucked out with this comp.
Surfs Up (2024). Unstad is always special in stormy conditions.
Reined (2023).
Nordic Gold. (2023). One of the most surreal moments was popped up on this viewpoint for 30 minutes, whilst we got pelted with snow, hail, and gorgeous light.
Guttered (2023). Cheerful shacks are the norm in Lofoten Islands.
Monumental (2023). Driving towards Hamnoy and Reine, we came down to this surreal display of light happening in the Fjords of Lofoten.
Peaked (2024). Those Lofoten Peaks are always delivering.
Cascadia I (2023). I've always lucked out at these falls. One day I will get it with Aurora maybe.
The Secret of No Secrets. (2023). If you know, you know. but luckily there wasn't too many people at this spot (except a handful of people).
Mirrors. (2024). This spot always seems to gather a big crowd (with lots going down on the shore line to get a better view).
Autumnal (2024). When the colour hits in Patagonia, it's something to behold.
Fitz. (2024). If it's cloudy in Patagonia, always take the telephoto. It's perfect for it.
Sorapsis Foiliage. (2022).
Tre Cime (2022). I planned to do a hike out past Tre Cime, and didn't think much of it. However, waiting at the bottom of the road to get in, it started bucketing down with snow. And well, halfway to my destination, I got this gorgeous view of Tre Cime in Snow.
Slavery (2024). Ever wanted to test your vertigo, go here. It was a shame that the light only was to the south and not to the north.
Camel Rock (2022). A blistering sunset in the Kimberly along the Ord River.
Melatonin. (2024). I've had this spot eyed up for a few years. But never really got the chance to do it justice. Until this year.
Niebla (2024). Waking up and seeing that we were fogged in had myself excited for our group. I don't think I've seen conditions like this here ever. One of the coldest and amazing mornings looking at the Massif.
Peaks of Dreams (2024). Lago Pehoe, hosts a plethora of spots to shoot. And any conditions, you'll get fantastic light or conditions. As long as you can see the peaks.
Unknown (2024) One of those spots that just keeps alluding me with favourable conditions. The one time I did have good conditions, my memory card failed. Oh well, back again next year?
Grande Paine. (2024). A telephoto lens, and great light on Paine Grande.
Spires (2023). My all time favourite location in El Chaltén is Laguna Torre. A campsite right next to prime shooting locations - what more could you want. Well how about another cracking sunset. I'll take that.
Chaltén (2023). After finishing a two week workshop in my favourite part of the world, the bus back to El Chalten was late, the mad dash to stock up on food. Whilst loading the pack, I could notice that sunset could very well be one of the best I'd ever see in these parts. A mad scramble up the trail, it was more like a slow jog, and I just arrived to this spot and did it deliver in spades.
